It's Qiu Peng's birthday today! Happy birthday Qiu Peng!!! As I am quite broke now, I can't afford to buy anything valuable for her. So, I could only spend some time on doing something meaningful for her. I have too much to compliment about this girl. I will never forget how generous and helpful she was when I met with obstacles and financial problem last time. As the ex-secretary of Taekwondo club, she was responsible and attentive. As a good friend, she is always ready to lend a helpful hand. Don't try to judge her if you don't know her well. I am very defensive about her ok! Lastly, hope that she will enjoy herself much in her college life. Qiu Peng, wo ai ni!!

24 March 2009

Everyone is busy.

Most have started their college. Some are still working. Minority of them are enjoying their holidays. Me? Yesterday, I was still wondering what I will do in the mean time while waiting for my college intake. Today, I found my answer, which is to read and read and read. Without any planning, I went to AEON. Simply just to waste my time. After strolling around for hours, I finally entered Popular Bookstore. Hm... As usual, I went to the CD department first to update myself with the latest albums. Then, I walked to the books department. I was attracted by this book entitled The Rules of Life by Richard Templar. This was my very first time sitting down for hours in a bookstore to read a book. Uhh.. The book was not bad. It was so-called the International Best-Seller. I only managed to read half of it. So, I can't conclude anything yet.

Chao

1. I experienced a tragic fever. No MC given.I broke down and cried for hours due to the excruciating heat. (=_=" So-not-me.)

2. I experienced diarrhoea for 6 days. Ugh oh!

3. I was in the TV. Anyway, you won't get to see my face. I was in the crowd actually.

4. I participated the Parliamentary Debate in the camp. Fu yoh! No more stage fright!

5. I became a Sikh bride on the last day of the Integration Programme.

*p/s:Sorry. No translation.

19 March 2009

Looks like my blog is simpler now.

I am definitely evolving.

In the past, I used to love all those fancy layouts.

But now, fancy layouts are not my kind anymore.

I prefer SIMPLICITY. =D

Yes it's 3.29am in the morning. Here I am, this insane girl who could not sleep back after waking up. Let me write something funny that happened yesterday.

Soon Teck and I planned to have an outing yesterday. Our plan was supposed to be like this. First, go to my school to certify my certificates. Then go to San Education to get more information about my further studies. And lastly,go to AEON to treat him a lunch. He was supposed to reach my house at 9.30am. Guess what. At 9.50am, my phone with 017 number rang. I felt so disturbed (as I was still sleeping!!!) that I dumped my phone to the end of my bed. (Wow!) After a few seconds, my phone with 016 number rang again. Wait wait wait... Something was not right! I looked at the time- 9.51AM!!!!! Gosh! I quickly picked up my phone and looked. SOON TECK calling! *faint*

(I answered the phone call)

JJ: Oh my god! You know what? I just woke up!
ST: Actually, I wanted to tell you that I just woke up also!
JJ: WHAT?? (rolled on the bed laughing)

LMAO!!! I kept laughing when I was brushing my teeth okay! He came picking me up at around 10 something. Then, we ate at the mamak which is located outside out school. Hm... I haven't been eating there for FOUR months ok! Banyak kenangan in this mamak. Haha! After certifying the certificates, I dropped by his house. Guess what!! I finally got to see my kor(his brother) after such a long time. Hohoho!!! After a while, we chao to San Edu. While we were chit-chatting in the car, I looked at the time- 12.50pm. "Er.. Soon Teck, isn't it time for lunch?"Soon Teck looked at the clock and thought for a moment. Shoot! San Edu's lunch break starts from 1. Ah! No more San Edu?? Aiya! Don't care la! Prayed hard that it was still opened! By the time we reached there, San Edu was still opened. Phewh! Okay. I didn't manage to get much information that I want to know as San Edu is not linked to The One Academy. *sigh* They don't even know anything much about Dasein Academy of Art. *sigh again*. They recommended me Raffles Design which can be a highway robbery!! Gees~~ After that, we heeded to Aeon to eat Kim Gary. It was supposed to be his birthday treat ok! But this fella said that the treat is the reward of being my "Ah Mat" yesterday. So, I gotta think of something else for his birthday. Wadda? Eh! Wait! I thought he promised me a birthday gift for my birthday this year. =_=" Buat tak tau pula ker? Lol!!!

After I reached home, I threw myself on my bed and slept. I wasn't really tired but my hands were really painful. FYI, I am currently suffering from cramps on her hands and legs. So, I can't withstand low temperature, cold beverages and long walk. I couldn't even pose a "V" with my hand yesterday. The worst was when I tried to hold a pen, the pen fall off from my hand. ~_~". My parents immediately took me to the specialist again. As expected, I was injected once again. (I had been injected for twice in the camp due to diarrhoea.) The doctor advised me to take calcium tablet everyday (as though I am having osteoporosis). She also gave me some pills to relax my veins. Hm.. I feel much better now.

Okay. For the ones who were so worried of me, thanks ya. I am fine! No kidding! =D

Signing off.

12/03/09

This was an outing without planning. I went to AEON and saw them. And for certain reason, I joined the gang. =D. Things always end up better without any plan.

The girl who always turns her face away while taking pic-Be Teng.Pfth!

Choosing art as a career is for those who are not good at studying in school?!? Pfth! I totally disagree with this stupid statement ok. See! It's just a MYTH. Yes, I am a straight A1s student. So what? There is no rules saying that straight A1s student shall not take design course. "Oh.. It's such a waste." =_=" FYI, Leonardo Da Vinci (his most well-known masterpiece: Mona Lisa) is a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician and writer. So, dare to say an artist sucks in academics anymore? I have made my choice and I am sticking to it! You have your right to voice out your opinion, but you have no right to change my mind. =)

Cheers~

15 March 2009

Yupe! I couldn't believe I actually had a party in someone(Pravind) who I haven't known/met before! Rofl! I went to this house, which is located somewhere near my house to meet up with my friends- Guan Tat, Kok Sang and Rene. For the others, -------- "Hi. I am Joe Jian. Nice to meet you!" Gawd! The awkwardness is indescribable okay!

Forgetting about the awkwardness, Rene and I had fun camwhoring in the house.

Antique telephone! Gees~~

How can you resist such a big mirror?

13 March 2009

Getting perfect results is a joy. But aside from joys, we should never forget those people that had put so much efforts on guiding us to this pathway. Many of them who got their results must have forgotten to do something, which is to thank those people who have helped much during our battle days.

Firstly, thanks to God. Ok,I have something to share here. Before this, I was a free thinker. I don't believe in any God. After joining NS, I have a better exposure about my own religion-Buddhism. You know what? When you believe in God, God will believe in you too. I could sense His presence wherever I go! I guess this is the main reason I am so chilled either before getting the result or after getting the result.

* * *

Secondly, I would like to thank my parents. Well, my parents look like they are very care-free of my results. They always say that they don't bother about my results and they never force me to score with flying colours. Ah. Parents are always like this. But whenever I did badly in my exams, they will still ask me why haven't I put more efforts on studies. Hahaha! Parents oh parents. Besides, something very different about my parents is they will never promise me something before any examinations. (I never demand for anything though) Even though they never tell me why(and I never intend to ask), I knew the purpose of them doing so. They do not want me to study for the sake of getting something, but to study for the sake of myself. =D My parents' favourite phrase whenever I ask them how they feel when I get good results: "Whatever you have studied, it's all yours. It has nothing to do with me."

* * *

Thirdly, I would like to thank my teachers. Well, long list to go.
1. Mr Gerald
He must be the first in this list! Without him, I shall not even dream for the A1 for G-CEO paper. For your information, my mother tongue is Mandarin. So, I am educated in that way to speak Mandarin at home. Besides, I am not grown up in a family who loves reading. I only started to read fiction/non-fiction English language books during my secondary school life. The one who made me fall in love with English language is MR GERALD. He is such an inimitable tutor of mine. Attending his class is like an addiction! If he opens classes for Adults, I will definitely be the first to register okay! =D

2. Mr James
My Additional Mathematics tutor. Anyone who is unsatisfied with your Add Maths tutor? Please join Alpha Zon which is located at Bayu. (Promoting pulak!) Okay. So what's so big deal about this teacher? Big deal la of course! The way he used to make the students revised and revised the previous chapters is an efficient way of practicing Add Maths. His main purpose of doing so is to avoid us from forgetting the applications of the previous chapters. I truly enjoy his class even though he is not those type of tutor who will make the whole class laugh until the whole class shakes.

3. Pn Rashida
Her bombastic words for Malay language are the key of getting A1 in BM okay! All you have to do in her class is learn up all those bombastic words and pay full attention when she explains the story/the meaning of KOMSAS. Next, apply it in your examinations. And, the A1 will be yours! As simple as that!

4. Pn Norita
I will never forget her screeching voice!! There is only one reason for me liking her so much which is the way she cares for her students. She IS emotional, but she is emotional in that way that people could understand how she feels. (Not like some other teachers who make students scratch their head wondering what the teacher is angry about) All her feelings are written clearly on her face. This shows that she is never a liar. If she says that she loves you, she really does. Being direct is just so "Pn-Norita"(adj).

5. Pn Priya
She is the saviour of 4D (2007) and 5D (2008)'s Add Maths. I could still remember the range of the marks of 4D(2007)'s Add Maths before she came and after she came. Before she teached 4D(2007), the number of A scorer- 1 or 2 people. (I got a C that time) After she teached 4D(2007), the number of A scorer- Half of the class. See the difference? She has the talent of teaching which is able to make people understand Add Maths in a detailed way. I give her a Distinction for this!

6. Pn Hafizan
Another important soul! She is my school's Pendidikan Seni Visual teacher. I rate her as the best Seni teacher in Selangor or maybe Malaysia. I am so lucky to have her helping me so much for my kerja kursus. My friends(from other schools) told me that their Seni teachers just threw them the kerja kursus paper and asked them to settle the kerja kursus themselves. WOOTZ! Pn Hafizan is not like this okay! I could see her sacrifice in helping us to complete our folios and papan tanda. She helped the weak ones to search for details. She stayed back in the school to guide us in accomplishing the kerja kursus. She borrowed me the Seni book(which is school's property) back home for months so that I can study the theories. She bought the students brushes as a gift before Seni exam. How many teachers are willing to do those things? I know many of the students in MGS hates her la.(Even I myself used to dislike her last time) But after knowing her better, I found out that she is such a great teacher! 5-star teacher!

7. Puan Ting, Puan Chua and Miss Ng
Three of them were my Chemistry teachers. Three of them have their ways of teacher Chemistry. Pn Chua is the only one among them who can make me stay awake throughout the lesson. Sleeping in her class makes me feel awkward. Hahaha!! Puan Ting leh.. She is always willing to help the weak one. Even if you still don't understand after she makes the explanation, she will not show any sign of impatience. Same to Miss Ng as well. She always has a smile on her face.

8. Mrs Leong
My Taekwondo teacher. Ok! I know Taekwondo has nothing to do with my SPM result. But, this teacher has given me lots of support since I was young. She is always concerned of her students, just like a mother. =)

9. Mr Yeo Eng Hin
Let me draw your attention to this teacher of mine. He is my Art tutor. Without him, I won't be so in love with water colour paintings. Aside from teaching me arts, he also taught me values of life. His deep thoughts truly impressed me! Without him, I won't be able to succeed in my Art field.

*to be editted if there are any teacher that I have left out.

*edited- Yes! I knew it! I have missed
someone out .

10. Ms Sim
Oh. This brilliant lady. No one can deny that she is INTELLIGENT okay! I miss the way she shows sarcasm so much! =D I am lucky to have her as my EST teacher as she is the SPM examiner of EST paper. Woots!

11. Pn Asiah
Ah ah ah.... Like what Lee Teng said, she is like another mother in the school. So prihatin over the students. Even though her History class can be quite boring at times (Let me emphasize the word 'AT TIMES'), I still prefer to have her teaching History than to have someone else teaching History
in my class . Something very pitiful about being a History teacher is to mark History essays till vomit blood(literally). You gotta salute this teacher who can sacrifise her sleeping time to finish marking the papers ASAP.

* * *

Next, I would like to thank my fellow friends!!

The first two people to receive this gratitude are Ms. Tee Jo Lin and Ms. Audrey Teh YL! Everyone knows that I love them. We are the retarded ones!! LMAO!!

Then, I would like to thank Soon Teck, Sherene, Siew Woon, Guan Tat, Sin Dee, Boon Yi, Lee Teng, Linda, Winnie, Gavin, Steph, Zing, Mun Chun and , ............

* * *

Lastly, I wanna thank myself for believing in myself! Thanks for being neutral no matter what happens! I will love you even more from now onwards!

12 March 2009

Well, so what's for today?? SPM results? Hm... To be frank, I wasn't nervous at all before getting the result. I could even enjoyed myself at my home sweet home when it was already 11.30. My friend even asked me what the heck was I still doing at home. Haha! C'mon! What's so big deal la? I could even have my lunch with my parents until twelve. Perhaps something was not running in a proper way in my blood. I'm ABNORMAL. Lol! Okay.. I reached the school at twelve something. The first thing I did was hugging my friends and saying hello to my old schoolmates and teachers. Erm.... yes. I didn't bother about my results at all until my mother came telling me that I was supposed to get my results first. Oops! I totally forgot that my parents were anticipating for my results. Haha! Okay.. Stepping to the 5 Dedikasi table,... I had nothing in my mind. Blank. After finished seeking for my sijils, teacher looked at my result slip and "hehe". I was like.. huh? Then she handed me my slip. The editorial board photographer had already standby to capture my first reaction after seeing my result. I gave myself a broad smile after seeing perfect grades on the slip. Immediately, I heard the clicking sound of the camera. (Damn it! Can't the photographer gave me a signal before snapping my picture?) Then I turned to my parents showing them my results. Well, they gave the same response like mine as well -- a broad smile! =) I did not cry. I did not scream. I did not jump. Man!I could still remember how I cried after getting 7As for PMR.And yet, I did not spare any tears for SPM's result. I must be crazy. Please slap me now if you can. Okay. So what's my next step? I've no idea on which college I am going to pursue. Brrr... So, please don't come asking me which college I am going to ya! Haha!!

Lastly, congrats to all those who strive excellently in SPM. And for those who aren't very satisfied with the results, take it easy k! SPM is something, but not everything! =D

*edit
I am not trying to show off okay. But the only thing on the result slip that was able to make me went high a bit is the A1 for GCE-O paper. =)

11 March 2009
